Frequently Asked Questions

Please take a moment to read through our frequently asked questions.
Q: Who is eligible for a bonus through this program?
A: Only current AVG/UrgentVet relief veterinarians are eligible to receive a bonus through this program.

Q: I am not an AVG relief veterinarian. Do I get a bonus for submitting a relief veterinarian to American Veterinary Group?
A: Unfortunately, only current/active relief veterinarians are eligible for the Relief Veterinarian Referral Bonus Program. Current employees or external contacts are not eligible for the referral bonus.

Q: Can I submit the names of relief veterinarians that I know and recommend, even if I am not a relief veterinarian with American Veterinary Group?
A: Absolutely! We love to add new relief veterinarians to our relief veterinarian database. Practice Managers have access to submit a relief veterinarian’s contact information through our Relief Veterinarian Database located within SmartSheet. External contacts who are not
current relief veterinarians may contact relief@vetcher.com to submit a veterinarian to our
team.

Q: As a current relief veterinarian, what do I have to do to earn the Relief Veterinarian Referral Bonus?
A: There are a few criteria that you must meet in order to be eligible for the Relief Veterinarian Referral Bonus.
  1. You must be a current relief veterinarian with AVG/UrgentVet, and you must have worked at least one shift at our hospitals.
  2. You must submit the referral to our Relief Staffing Team via this form. Please note that the veterinarian must not already be an active veterinarian within our database. Only new contacts are eligible for the bonus.
  3. Your referral must work 5 or more relief shifts with AVG/UrgentVet within 90 days of signing their onboarding paperwork.

Q: My referral has already been talking to American Veterinary Group about relief. Am I still eligible for the bonus?
A: Unfortunately, no. Your referral must be a new contact with American Veterinary Group and cannot already have been in contact with the American Veterinary Group team or have signed up to work as a relief veterinarian with American Veterinary Group.
