Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Initial Phone Screen

If you have been invited to an interview, your initial screen will consist of a brief phone interview with a Team Staffing Specialist in our Recruiting Department. The Team Staffing Specialist will get an understanding of your background, skill level, availability, and compensation requirements.
Stage 2

Recruiting Virtual Interview

If you are invited to a second-round virtual interview, the Team Staffing Specialist will discuss the responsibilities of the Practice Manager role in more detail. You will also be asked questions about your veterinary medical experience and people management skills.
Stage 3

Leadership Virtual Interview

If you have been invited to a Leadership Virtual Interview, the Team Staffing Specialist will coordinate a time for you to meet with a member of our leadership team. The UrgentVet Practice Manager role reports to the Regional Director of Operations for UrgentVet, so this is a great opportunity to learn more about your potential boss. Answer questions thoroughly, but also ask questions about their expectations of the role!
Stage 4

On-Site Interview

If you are invited to an on-site interview with the hospital team, the Team Staffing Specialist will coordinate the details of your visit with the Practice Manager or other leadership team member. During the on-site visit, you will meet with the practice team and you may be asked to demonstrate your clinical skills, including client communication and patient care.
Stage 5

Offer

Congratulations! If you receive an offer for a position, we would love the opportunity to welcome you to our team as a Practice Manager for an UrgentVet hospital! The Team Staffing Specialist will review our compensation, benefits, training schedule, etc. We hope to see you in Tampa for your training!
